Day 7- Market to Starry Night

Today was a beautiful day, with a beautiful wife, and a beautiful journey!
(It's Election Day back home, here ... We are still enjoying love and life! May the odds be ever in your favor, USA)
The Market! Such an experience with beauty all around us! We love cooking, and ingredients (DUH!) this was fun...

What's better after a day at a French Market than a PICNIC?! So we went exploring and found this!

The aqueduct is pretty amazing... better than pictures can describe

On our way to the Rhone River... We came across this recognized beauty! What a treat!
That time we stood in the spot Vincent Van Gogh Painted "Starry Night Over the Rhone"... Look at this view! Majestic!

On to an ancient Roman amphitheater in Arles. It's still used regularly!

We needed a little church in our lives today so...
Beautiful church from the 1100s!!

It's Election Day back home, I'm saying some prayers! (And lighting a candle to St. Francis of Assisi)

Enjoyed the Romanesque church interior, the beauty inside is just as great as outside. What a magical day it was...

DINNER TIME!
Cauliflower soup with local spicy sausage and a beet salad with shrimp
Braised beef with macaroni with cheese and a beautiful venison steak!
And Dessert!!!!!!

We finished off the night with
A chocolate cake with ice cream and chantilly cream and a praline and meringue cake that the restaurant La Fourchette has been making for over 35 years. It was outstanding!!!

Did we mention that we have all kinds of new ideas for savory dishes and sweet treats for you when we come back home....

If we come back. We LOVE IT HERE! Seriously-- yearly guided tours to France with That French Place? I see it in our future... how about you?

Stay Tuned... All kinds of surprises for tomorrow!
Signing off from FRANCE!
Brian
